Greater Dallas Taiwanese Chamber of Commerce

President's remark

Dr. Ku, President Arthur Chen, Distinguished Guests, Ladies and Gentlemen:

Good evening, it is very hard for me to memorize a long speech, so I promise you I will make a very short one tonight.

First and foremost, I would like to acknowledge all the work that has been done by our past presidents of the chamber of commerce. Without them, the chamber would not be as strong as it is today. In fact, each of them has continually given all their effort and support even after their term as president has ended. Their tireless commitment remains an example before me, and they have all my heartfelt appreciation. I would like to invite them to stand up here and let’s give them a big round of applause to thank them for their effort and support to the chamber.

I am honored to now have this opportunity to serve the Chamber of Commerce as president. It is a big challenge for me since we have so many outstanding past presidents ahead of me. But I will do my best to serve our members, to expand our networks and to create and expand business opportunities to the best of my ability.

One single person cannot make the chamber a success, now please allow me to introduce my cabinet members, and I would like to invite them to come up to the stage to share this moment of responsibility with me.

Suzanne Chen, Eric Ko, Chialing Chung, Peggy Chu and Tina Higley,  (unfortunately Frank Chang and Laurence Chiang cannot be here with us tonight) Please give them a big hand to appreciate their commitment to serve the chamber.

I now would like to present a token of appreciation to our past president Mr. Arthur Chen to thank him for his great contributions to our chamber in the past two years.
